Jon - and the rest of the Pals - just found your website. Good to see your memorial to dear old Spag. I posted my thoughts here:

http://ypres1917.3.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=508

We are certainly the poorer for his passing.

Hope to see some of you on the battlefields in 2009.

Best wishes,

Paul

Just a quick note to record the passing of tony spagnoly, I met him only a few time but always found him very friendly and interesting. His interest in the RFC and Mick Mannock inspired me to read abour the WW1 pilots

along with the guided walk with the pals and Ted Smith around plug street wood.

a sad day.
